Peace Makers.

Zion's Advocate, November 1898, Vol. 37, No. 11.

Among the distinguishing characteristics of God's children, mentioned by the dear Saviour in his sweet sermon on the mount, is the noble appellation of "peace makers." "Blessed are the peace makers," says that holy Teacher, "for they shall be called the children of God." This teaches that they who are peace makers will be recognized as God's children. How important it is, then, that we speak and write that which tends to promote the peace of our beloved Zion, and conduces to the comfort of her sons and daughters. "The kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy, in the Holy Ghost. For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men. Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and the things wherewith one may edify another." Romans xiv. 17-19.
