CHURCHES:

EAST FORK CLARK'S RIVER (LATER CHANGED TO SOLDIER CREEK)

Organized May 13, 1820. Changed to Soldier Creek in 1834. Meeting house burned in 1874, and replaced by the present frame building in Marshall County..

NEW SALEM (MURRAY)(1822)

New Salem Church, located about 2 1/2 miles southeast of Murray, Kentucky, was a member of the Western District Association (1823), then the Obion Association (1828), and finally Soldier Creek Association (1842).

SURNAMES OF MEMBERS:

UNION (WADESBORO)

Organized in July 1823. Closed in 1892. Originally in Hickman County, until Calloway County was formed. Now in Marshall County.

OLD SALEM

Organized about 1828.

LONE OAK (FAXON)

Lone Oak Church, near Murray, Kentucky, was a member of the Soldier Creek Association. New building erected in 1958. Closed in 2011.

SHILOH (ALMO)(1831)

Shiloh Church, located three miles east of Almo, was a member of the Soldier Creek Associaiton.

ROUGH CREEK (Now in Marshall County)

Organized in 1831.

OLD CONCORD (WISWELL)

Organized in 1833.

WEST FORK CLARK'S RIVER

Organized in 1833. Closed in 1844.

NEW PROVIDENCE (MURRAY)(1834)

SURNAMES OF MEMBERS:

Galloway, Grogan, Hutchens, McKinney, McNeely, Miles, Paschal, Poyner, Summers, Swann (very incomplete list due to records not being located).
