CHURCHES:
LITTLE ZION (ELMA)(1885)
Little Zion Church was organized at Elma, Washington, in 1885, and sometime before 1904 moved to Oakville, Washington. By 1928 the church was meeting in homes across Lewis County, and during the 1950's began meeting on the fourth Sunday of each month in the home of Sister Effie Parke, in Chehalis. Little Zion Church was served as pastor by Elers Achilles Wilson, Lewis F. Adkins, John W. B. Cameron, Claud M. Fisher, and Howard H. Eason. Several visiting Elders including Thomas Collier and Walter F. Jolly, preached in Sister Parke's home. It is likely that the church ceased to meet at about the time of Sister Parke's passing in November 1967.
SURNAMES OF MEMBERS:
Anderson, Bright, Coleman, Hardy, Shelton, Taylor, Wilson (very incomplete list due to loss of records).
