CHURCH:

LITTLE ZION

Little Zion Church was organized in 1920, at the home of Sister Minerva Bybee. There were nine charter members, viz., L. J. Fry, Mary Fry, Olva Dodson Brown, Floyd Taylor, Thomas Burt, Hulda Burt, Eva Gardner, and Minerva Bybee. The council was composed of Elder S. I. Gardner and Deacon Will Pile, of Shiloh Church near Kimball, Nebraska, and Elders W. C. Perdue and D. B. Nowels and Deacon E. E. Butcher, of Bethel Church, at Lamar, Colorado. Pastors who have served Little Zion Church include Elders S. I. Gardner, W. C. Perdue, Ira Fry, Elbert Holdren, Wilce Jones, Glen Lauderdale, Clem Cook, and Fletcher Pool. The church presently meets in a building located at Third Street and Lake Avenue in Ordway.
