CHURCHES:

SALEM

Salem Church was one of the fourteen churches which organized the Blue River Association in October 1816, her messengers being James Case, William Sands, William Onion, and Edward Maddox, who reported 45 members at that time.

SURNAMES OF MEMBERS:

Albin, Blunk, Case, Johnson, Kirkham, Lemmon, Maddox, Marshall, McRae, Onion, Sands, Shoemaker, Stillvill, Zenor (very incomplete due to loss of records).

GOSHEN (CORYDON)

Goshen Church was one of the fourteen churches which organized the Blue River Association in October 1816, her messengers being Frederick Cotner and Elder Isaac Veach, who reported 36 members. A log meeting house was erected very early, of hewn poplar logs, which contained a gallery. Members of the Boone family are buried in the cemetery and nearby.

Anderson, Armstrong, Barger, Boone, Cotner, Dawson, Douglass, Elledge, French, Gaither, Hicks, Johns, Lemon, McKim, Pearce, Shields, Thompson, Veach (very incomplete due to lack of records).

One source says Blue River Church was located in Harrison County.

MILLTOWN

Milltown Church was organized in 1886, near Milltown. One source says the church was located in Crawford County.
