MUDDY RIVER (RUSSELLVILLE)(1798)
Muddy River Church was organized in 1798. Elder Lewis Moore is believed to have been the first pastor. The church first united with the Mero District Association, then the Cumberland, and finally the Red River. Elders William Aingell, Leonard Page, James Conyers, and William Northern were also early members of this church.
