THOMPSON

Thompson Church, at Kalida, was organized December 25, 1869, with seven charter members, viz., David Seitz, Samuel Seitz, Jacob Blosser, Mary Budd, Mary Huddle, Sophronia Blosser, and Rhoda Meeks.
The present building was erected in 1894.

Pastors who have served Thompson Church include Elders Samuel Seitz, A. F. Dove, C. C. Bradford, E. L. Kinter, Hugh Williams, A. D. Pitney, Levi Williams, Perry Dove, Ivan Hindall, Nolan Pitney, Clyde Farmer, Walter Graves, Nolan Pitney, Michael Pitney, and Mark Pitney.

Blosser, Budd, Dermyer, Glass, Helmke, Hensley, Huddle, Kinner, Leitner, Marsee, Meeks, Oglesbee, Pitney, Rower, Seitz, Williams (very incomplete list).

PRAIRIE RUN

Prairie Run Church was organized November 25, 1901, at the home of Eli Clevenger, in Hartsburgh, with six charter members, viz., B. G. Ford, Eli Clevenger, John Howard, Jennie Ford, Elizabeth Clevenger, and Sarah Jane Howard. The presbytery was composed of Elders Lyman B. Hanover, Z. K. Holliday, Adam F. Dove, Manasseh Silveus, and other brethren.
