CHURCHES:

CONCORD (MCMINNVILLE)

Organized prior to 1816. Erected a brick building in the townof McMinnville in 1837, at a cost of about $1,200.

CANEY FORK (1816)

Caney Fork Church was organized by members dismissed for that purpose from Concord Church, on September 7, 1816, with the following charter members, viz., John Fisher, William Dunham, Henry Franks, Joshua Webb, James Cunningham, William Womack, Elizabeth Fisher, Mary Dunham, Rebecca Webb, Susanna Kirby, Anna Womack, Elizabeth Whiteley, Nancy Elledge, Nancy I. Elledge, Sally Usry, and Dolly (negro). The presbytery was composed of Elders Thomas Burgess, Thomas Clark, and Chesley Webb.

ROCKY RIVER

Rocky River Church appeared in the minutes of the Stockton's Valley Association for 1812, and in 1813 went into the formation of the Caney Fork Association.

COLLINS RIVER (1807)

Collins River Church is mentioned in the minutes of Spring Creek Church in January 1807, when John Miller, Rebecca Miller, Sarah Lowry, Henry Lowry, Rhoda Lowry, Sarah Lowry, and Nancy Burlison, were dismissed to organize a new church. This church united with the Stockton's Valley Association in 1807, then with the Caney Fork Association in 1813.

HEAD OF COLLINS RIVER

Head of Collins River Church entered the Stockton's Valley Association in 1810. In 1813 they were dismissed to join the Caney Fork Association.
