ETONIAH (PALATKA) (1848)

Etoniah Church was organized in 1848, and now occupies its third building for worship at the present location, about five miles north of Palatka, Florida. The present meeting house was constucted in 1962. The records prior to 1899 were lost. Early pastors included Elders Frank Hall and John Harvey. Later pastors have been Elders J. R. Dukes, W. R. Crawford, W. W. Campbell, William Carter, I. N. Hall, H. J. Markey, D. L. Sheffield, W. R. Rhoden, William Moody, LeRoy Wasdin, Herman Moody, O. H. Massey, Harry Eddy and John White. The church was originally a member of the Indian River Association. In 1896 it was admitted to membership in the Suwanee Association.
