CHURCHES:

BEULAH (DAWSON) (1835)

Beulah Church was contituted November 27, 1835, near Parker's Mill on Bear Creek, in what was then Lee County, Georgia; some six miles northeast of Parrott, Georgia. The presbytery was composed of Elders Prescott Burs and Joshua Mercer. The charter members were Noel Lawhorn, Sarah Lawhorn, Elizabeth Lawhorn, Nancy Kersy, Louis Peterson, and Angerane Lawhorn. In 1889 the meeting place was moved to a location four miles east of Parrott, Georgia. Pastors of the church have included Elders John Winger, Allison Culpepper, W. M. Hubbard, T. K. Purseley, J. H. Davis, J. M. Woodall, Joe Blackshear, R. H. Jennings, Bryant Page, W. T. Everett, S. H. McCorkle, W. H. Handcock, Malvin Brock, C. D. Willliamson, J. F. Little, and Julian Asbell.
